The central location made exploring the city a breeze, with plenty of dining options nearby. The Standard Double Room offered a cozy vibe with decent amenities, perfect for a quick escape.
Music from the bar tends to resonate through the rooms, with Saturday nights pushing the noise until nearly 1 AM, so consider packing earplugs if you're planning an early night. I noticed a lack of lightbulbs in the bedside lamps, and the window frames were in dire need of maintenance—one of them felt almost rotten. A somewhat uncomfortable bed added to the restlessness, and navigating the bathroom revealed some cleanliness issues that shouldn’t be overlooked, including remnants from previous guests. Plus, the shower had its share of grime, which could use a thorough scrub.

The Superior King Room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after exploring the vibrant area just over the bridge. A big highlight was the helpful and friendly host who added a genuine touch to the stay. While the location was great, the noise from the pub could be slightly distracting at times, but it didn’t detract much from the experience overall.

Couple seeking comfort and good food
The bed was really comfortable and the room was a good size. We were recommended a Chesil Rectory to eat, absolutely loved that place.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but still acceptable for what we got.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the main attractions like the Cathedral and the famous statue. My room was clean and warm, and I really appreciated the heated towel rail in the bathroom. Despite being on a street that could be noisy, the double glazing worked well to keep most of the sounds at bay. a pleasant stay that was perfect for exploring the city as a solo traveler.

We enjoyed live music on Friday night, which was a blast! The atmosphere really added to our family experience while staying with our little baby. It was a great way to unwind after exploring Winchester.
In my wife’s opinion, the bathrooms could use a deep clean. A family-friendly space would be nicer if attention was paid to cleanliness.
